Hi All

Well I have taken the plunge, I've always wanted a Buell and finally yesterday I picked one up.its a 2005 Ulysses 15000miles.
I thought I'd bettyer introduce myself before I start asking daft questions, which will probably be quite soon lOl .
I'll post up in the wanted, but after a taller screen and luggage rack if anyone knows of any.
Just got it insured and off for my first blast in a minute.
I've come from a recent couple of BMW's and good as they are I want a bike which makes me smile and so far just starting this one up does that :yup

Welcome...

Get rid of those reflectors before your fork legs corrode...

The skull on the engine will attract Zombies but luckily the Uly suspension should cope with them if you don't stop. :old:

Thanks Pash , and re the zombies, looks like I wont be attracting them as as soon as I can figure out where to get a new timing cover, that skull is not my choice at all !!!

I'm wondering if that exhaust wrap should come off as well, are they stainless?

Yeah, careful as it may be hiding damage. Regardless of whether there is damage it not, there will be awful discolouration. Worth doing and you can run over the surface with fine emery paper... The stainless will thank you for it...

I took some wrap off an exhaust for a member here, and the tubes had started to rot so badly it was impossible to polish out the pitting

Was it a 2005 model with an orange tail unit and still had fork reflectors on it?
:P
