My introduction here is coming a bit late as I recently took the plunge into the mysterious world of ECMSpy, and have already benefited from the knowledge of several UKBEG members. Though I'm much more comfortable tweaking carburetors than ECMs, one quote from the local Harley shop for a TPS reset convinced me to expand my horizons a bit - and pocket the savings.

I'm from across the pond in Maine, which is about as close as an American can get to G.B. without getting wet. However, in addition to studying lambdas and data logging I'm also learning all I can about England by watching old Doc Martin re-runs.

In all seriousness, the village and eccentric characters of Portwenn aren't at all that different than many of the fishing towns of coastal Maine. Different accents, perhaps.

My '04 XB12s came to me last summer in pristine condition, having been owned by an older gent. With hormones well under control, he'd never felt the need to abuse the black and gold beauty and I assured him I'd be equally gentle with it. And I am. Having ached for a Buell since the earliest tubers, the stars finally aligned just so, and now I own what is for me, the best motorcycle ever.

Thanks for the quality forum, and the generous help.
Time to study ... Doc Martin's coming on the "telly".

Todd B.

Welcome Todd, don't forget England is more like 'Midsommer murders' and 'Hot Fuzz' http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi ... _=tt_ov_vi than Doc Martin

Hi XB1203. Visited Maine and a lot of New England a couple of years ago. Great place, lovely people - and the food! :yup: If you ever come to London, you need to understand the difference between north and south London. In north London, they have these historical plaques on buildings which commemorate famous artists, writers, poets, etc who previously lived there.

In South London, they have yellow signs at the side of the road saying: 'Did you see this murder?".
Welcome to the nuthouse which is UKBEG!
