Hi. New to this site. Lets get this out the way first.... I dont own a buell, but I am toying with the idea of buying one if I can persuade her indoors to make another addition to my projects. I owned a honda hornet 600 a couple of years ago,an excellent hooligan bike that just loves to be thrashed. My brother owns a ducati st2,which leads me to here in a way. I took it out for a spin when he first had it. The motor was good and flexible...very easy to ride. The only thing I didnt like, was the annoying rattle of the dry clutch....plus the price of them.
Anyway, some time ago I managed to get a demo test ride on a buell 9 thunderbolt at a harley open day. What a difference. All though it felt a bit cramped for me, the engine and handling was something else. It felt as light as my honda hornet.....but on steroids. I seemed to bond with it straight away, and could throw it about no problem,as if I had been riding it years. I would love to own a lightning,as they have a more upright riding position, which would suit me better. Cheers.

Welcome, I have a Fueller, it is my second one. I love it. Not gonna knock you if you prefer a tuber though.

I have hee haw in the way of technical knowledge, as Maz will confirm, whilst banging his baldy napper on the wall, but there are plenty of technical gurus here to answer your questions - just don't expect a consensus!

Have fun :D
