New keys arrived !!! :yup:

Below it will be statement of Buell's build quality & service done by Warrs in 2011.

I've spent last week on cleaning muck, leaves etc. checking all electrical connectors and fluids as much as time permitted. Yesterday after draining fuel tank where I found about half a gallon of water, 10 min of engine turning spitting, coughing, whizzing and bunch of other sounds - IT CAME TO LIFE.

What I heard - was a music to my ears :D - I love it.

Few other things on my to do list before going back on the road ;)

What a great story, I just hope there isn't too sad a background to it. Thank you for going to all that trouble, to keep another Buell on the streets of Britain :yup:

Hope you have many miles of smiles on it. You just need to get it on the road and ride it to Ems day now ;)

Personally I don't think so - I "found" bike in wealthy area of London left for 3 years on the street without any cover (that's why all water was in tank) - you know - "posh boys toys" - I hope ;)

BTW what dropped me on my knees was mileage - 4767

As you asked for photos here is one.
I hope next will be in daylight. :D

Still working on air-intake and front brake :?

On Friday had it running for 15 min - smoking like steam engine - despite cleaning head's still burning dust and muck stuck to it over years.

I am looking for front fender extender - to protect engine from debris, water etc. - any tips on that?
Has anyone seen such thing? - or I am doomed with custom project?

I think Northants V Twin had extended front fenders.

I think I extended mine (needed where I live lOl ) with a CBR600 'Extenda Fenda' from one of the big mail order companies. Had to do a bit of trimming on the belt sander, and fixed it on with a couple of pop rivets.

New pic - so you can see where I am going with it ;)

I am still waiting for air-intake - single-cone filter which I found on eBay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331042524853?var=540252903318&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
for silly money (I know it's not Forcewinder quality but neighter is the price ;) )

Expecting delivery Mon-Tue - will se how it will fit.
Then just front master cylinder rebuild and off to garage for MOT
And REAL FUN will begin :yup:
