Wow, XB tuber, that sounds great!
How easy (or not) was it to build?

Hallo ,
to build the bike was exiting thing to do.
I didnt know if and how it could be done.
I posted on the net and it seems i am the first one to alter the tuber-frame to accept an XB engine.
The idea was to built a Buell, using as much as possible Buell parts, and it had to look like a Buell.
I also wanted to look longer ,and it is now ,6cm.
The first time i took the grinder to cut the tubes was a pont to no return !(verry exiting)
from then it was finding out and grinding more and more until the engine and frame matched.
then all the plates where made and welded.
It took 5 month until it was finished and after a week testriding i rode to the Hartz to ride it in.
This was summer 2012 .
Some data, XB12 engine rebuilt ,2000 M2 frame, 2006 xb12x rear swingarm, x1 frontforks ,Braking (OZ?) front wheel came out an 999 duc,xb dash,x1/xb wirering loom,S1 ass, etc
Planning for this winter is S1 petrol tank, respray tank seat in ligt blue ,polished XB wheels 8-pot caliper. Regards Jos

Do you run an S3 injection tank at the moment? they are very similar to the S1 tank and I just happen to know where there is a brand new unused one if anybody offers the right money ;)

Very cool bike. Love the front end!

Joes Buell didn't have the XB engine though did it?

Thought it did end up with an XB engine ?......but if not, that's a plus cos the XB engine is a massive downside ie. built down to a price and nowhere near as well engineered as the tuber version.
