He certainly was in the late 70's early 80's when the bulk of us on here were in their teens/ twenties. Due to only having 3 or 4 tv channels and no internet, 99% of the UK population at the time knew who he was. Watching the Muppets whilst stoned was a popular cultural alternative to going down the pub on a Saturday night.

Yep, same in NZ but we only had 2 channels. The youth of today have no idea the hardship ;)

I am perfectly aware of who the muppets are (half of them seem to be in here), I just didn't know of that particular character. Anyway, I'll let you guys back on with whatever you're doing in this thread now.
