Hello All,
wont go into it, but these days I have an issue with my left leg and I need to have a play with the seating position on my 97 M2 (as well as move foot peg position and potentially play with the bar position (not a straight forward thing on mine, one thing at a time though). I have a very comfortable Corbin (of a type not seen on any other Buell to date) fitted to mine, but the riders part of the seat is sculptured and prevents me sitting further back on the seat. Thought I would refit my original 97 seat to overcome this issue, but this fouled on an aftermarket alarm fitted(could move the alarm but). Whilst looking for my original 97 seat I bumped into my spare seat (of a 98 M2) and side by side with the 97 seat I noticed differences, tried the 98 seat and it does not foul the alarm and appears more generously padded -result. Only issue with the 98 seat is that the original cover is cracked in 2 or 3 places -is there a seat cover available of the shelf or will I need to get a cover made up from scratch? trying not to spend a fortune because if my leg improves I plan on returning to the Corbin.
Many thanks

Can't see one there for a skinny M2.
Doesn't cost a lot to have one re-covered by a car upholsterer, Graeme, as it's one piece with no stitching.
Got mine done for well under £50 IIRC.
But if it's only an experiment, why bother? No one will see it whilst you're on it ...not saying youve got a big arse or anything... lOl

Your right nik, i'll scout around for a reasonable local upholsterer and try to resist the urge to make it something special.
