Posting on behalf of a friend.

For Sale: this S reg S1 - in desperate need of being introduced to soap, water and Autoglym, otherwise a very nice tidy example. Has a Scorpion can which is the same colour as the bike.

Complete service history, all recalls done, was previously owned by Tubbs then sold to Ben who has now become bored with Buells. It's only done 13,000 miles and would be a lovely little bike for someone with a S1 itch.

Looking for £4,500 ono.....Please PM Tubbs for more details.

Please ignore blinged up gold thing in the background ;)

Makes mine worth over 10k... Hope this S1 price hike thing is not going to lead to another credit crunch...

Isn't that the S1 that Tubbs was trying to sell, then he wasn't, then he was, then he wasn't etc............................
If memory serves me right wasn't it around £2,500 and not a particularly good one either?

I guess if you don't ask, you don't get :?

I remember when NickP bought my Shirley, he paid just under £4k for it and that was about 4 years ago (he then spent an obscene amount of money getting it sorted - enough to keep Maz in Stella for many a long day)

You rarely see them go on ebay for less than about £4,300....supply and demand I guess..........and one of the reasons why my S1 itch will now never be scratched!

Yes and i have told ben (imo) he is being a greedy monkey but its his bike and all i can do is give info on it.
I sold it with approx 10.000 miles on it and it had a 10.000 service and then yoffie did the recalls at dg20 for ben.
But please remember im not selling it or involved in the sale in any way.
:yup:

Nor me, and neither Tubbs or I are on commission ;) I only posted for Ben as he's not on the forum and thought someone might be interested here before he puts it on fleabay.

I'm not pointing fingers. It's good to get information when you're thinking of spending £4,500 on a bike.
There are some really good bikes out there and some not so good.
