My wife and I are currently buying a property abroad and I may need to sell a couple of my bikes to make up the shortfall with the pound falling (although it's predicted to recover, but may be too late for us).

So....... any thoughts on value.

2003 (53) XB9s. Very tidy, not much in the way of service history other than a few receipts and a stamp from the dealer I bought it from but very well maintained by me.

14K miles, rides perfectly. Non original paint.

Also, possibly selling my MV if anyone's interested..... early F4 750

£2500?

Stick it on eBay, 99p start and no reserve. That will tell you the value and sell it at the same time.

Figured about £2500 to 3K at best.

Too risky doing it that way on e-bay, it's not a brand that people would search for so unlikely to draw a bidding war. Chances are it would go silly cheap....... which you could argue is the true value I suppose but unless you do it more than once you'd not know

Publicise it all over Facebook and on here. The other alternative is a fixed price, maybe on eBay again. I sold my SP2 Honda on eBay and it went for about a grand less than I would have liked and maybe three grand less than Owners would like to think they were worth at the time - appreciating classic and all that, BUT I was so glad it was sold and I could spend the money on other stuff, e.g. cheese and wine... Such a relief...

I've ridden it once, it's garage ornamentation.

Bring it around to mine. We could stick it in the shed and breed it with my Ducati 1198. Imagine how beautiful the children would be lOl
