It saddens me to sell my X1

I returned home from a 40 mile ride yesterday for it to conk out yards from my front door!
red engine check light staying on, engine turns over but won't fire up, checked fuel... plenty in the tank :)

Pushed it into my garage, and returned some hours later to see if it would start, still no joy, no whirling noise from fuel pump has the fuel pump failed again!! ??

If The Emporium was nearer, i would keep it no problem, but the distance is just too impractical.

So if anyone fancies buying an X1 as is, Please PM me. £3500 firm.

If no joy will try *bay at end of the month.

Unusual exhaust route for an X1, good luck with the sale

My God that's a nice looking bike!
Maybe someone can help getting it to the Emporium
Think hard before you let it go...you'll regret it in the end

Hmmm I am going up to :maz: in 2 or 3 months with 2 bikes (1 staying for a bit and 1 coming back with) message me if you can wait that long.

I was going to hire a transit but can upgrade to the large van for extra 15x 2 days +plus a few litres of diesel.

We could work out something similar for the pick up but would only take 1 day to collect so would be less.

You're about an hour off route for me.

I have straps and ramp, you'll need to tie it in yourself, wheel chock etc. Maz will be the next to touch it... and I will not leave the van until I get to the emporium.

Let me know.

Kiwi that is very much appreciated and a very kind offer... that is something i will seriously consider if the Buell does not sell.

It's not just this current issue with the bike, but any problems that may occur in the future, i would still face the same problem of transporting the bike to Manchester for repair, which is a big concern.

Any future work undertaken at The Emporium would obviously have to be discussed first.

For now the bike remains for sale and will be sorned at the end of the month.
My head tells me to sell it, but my heart wants to keep it, and for that reason i want be accepting any offers less than the asking price.

Thanks again for all the comments guys. :yup:

OK I'll message you a few weeks before I go up, after I have confirmed everything with Maz.

Well bit of an update, i had an injection of enthusiasm (sorry about the pun) and decided to remove the fuel pump at the w/e.

Once i disconnected the wires from fuel pump terminals i ran a direct feed to the pump and it worked.
Thinking it was a possible bad connection i couldn't see any obvious issue with wiring.

Reassembled it all and done 45 smile/miles and all seems well so far!

So it's not going to ebay or being sorned....for now :)

Great news :yup:

Electrics are always overlooked for inspection, well worth checking and Leckie lubing contacts as part of a service.
