Good luck, a good looking pair. Have you tried a Uly? For road work they're great (not been more off road than a campsite as yet)

Like Grahame says try a Uly if you haven't already , I bought a GSA 4 years ago for touring because at the time I couldn't find a decent Uly for sale. 18 months later found a good Uly and we never used the GS for trips ever again because the Uly was far more fun to ride and far comfier for a pillion. BMW sat unused apart from a couple of short runs out until I saw sense and took one of the nicest S1's in the UK in part exchange against it and got rid 8-)

The Ulys don't seem to stick around for long in the for sale sections. The later models are very rare. I have been keeping an eye out for next year as some 2up continental touring is on the cards - The 1125 is staying, not worth selling... and we've bonded lOl

The lack of Ulysses around has strayed my eyes to the Triumph Explorer...what a nice piece of kit, lots of unnecessary bits but hey why not. Seen them as low as £6k too. Anyone been out on one of these??

Decisions decisions...

I like the explorer and after selling both bikes I could put 8k into a bike. Decided I would go for Super Tenere and there is one on eBay for £5200 in Leicester so sorted as all my mates had Africa Twins. Day I'm going to see it my pal calls and said his dealer had called to see if any of his mates wanted another.

Fuck me, what a deal on new 2017 Matt black Africa Twin DCT and it comes Monday. Will post up how much I'm paying after Monday as don't want to jinx it or have dealer bombarded before I pick mine up.

Sounds good Steve. Keep us posted.

2017! a new bike would be nice, I've never owned one!

I bet that Uly is a fraction of the price though...and you'd be able to keep your lovely 1125 for ear to ear smile days ;)

...and less Japanese in your shed lOl
