208 RS1200s were sold in total since '89. Maybe only 5 were made stamped as a '91 before the RSS1200 came out in '91 likely because they were unsure of an official release date pending DOT and EPA approvals.

Mine was a blue '89. Loved the 4 spoke PMs. Gorgeous to look at. Even liked the Marzocchi forks with anti-dive solenoids. Never used the flip up seat once. Good bike for piling on the miles 12 hours at a time. This was my non-threatening Buell as I'd posted in the EBR thread. Only 62 RWHP.
