For sale.
I thought I'd offer this to the forum first rather than the usual place.
I'm not too certain I'm making the right decision but I think I've decided to sell my bike. I've really had a great time riding it on weekends over the summer and I'm pretty certain I'll miss it. It pulls cleanly and strongly through all gears and has never given me a moment's trouble. It's also the best handling bike I've ever ridden.
However I've told my Daughter I'm going to buy her a car and the cash from the bike will go toward that.

20,000 miles showing on the speedo and I believe it's genuine although I received no service history with the bike.
It has a couple of months MOT left to run (ish) and I think it'll cruise through the MOT. It had no advisories on last years test if I remember correctly and it rides straight and true. The tyres have lots of tread left.
A pretty much brand new original silencer has been on the bike for approximately 9 months.
It has a Free Spirits belt tensioner fitted and I think the rest is standard.

I paid far more (sight unseen) for the bike than I'm asking and found that it did have a few issues.

These still remain and I'll list them below:
1/I believe there's a common fault to do with the neutral switch behind the primary cover where the neutral light doesn't light up and correspondingly the starter button appears to not make a connection. A bit of fiddling with the stand has always seen it start.
2/You have to apply about 20% more pressure to the gearchange lever to go from 3rd to 4th than an other gear unless the engine is revving over 2500 revs (in which case it goes in like butter). It's always done this and hasn't changed at all in the time or 2000 miles since I've had it.
3/This is a strange one: Starting out on a ride, unless the bike's really warmed up, the very first (and only the very first) change down from 5th to 4th (and only 5th to 4th) requires a heftier press than usual. After the very first down change it performs perfectly for the rest of whatever length of journey you're on. There are no accompanying strange noises or strange clunks through the box or gearchange lever.
4/ Cosmetically it's a bit "worn and ridden"

The bike does still ride well and I've done so for over 2000 miles this summer. It doesn't give any trouble at all and does pull without coughing or fluffing. I think it's a really good price for what is a decent enough bike and I won't take any less than my asking price. I'll happily keep it and use it when summer comes around again if nobody buys it.

Bike is in Newmarket.
My number is 07827920811. Come and take a look.

Wow, that's more than a fair price. Great bikes as anyone who owns one will know...

And yeah, they all go furry if you use them.

Good luck with the sale...
