Unfortunately finances dictate that we have to sell.

X1 Lightning 2002, 02 plate, Yellow, SORNed, MoT 12 months (expires 8/7/2011)

For those of you that know him this fine example was previously owned by Mirman. We bought it approx 2 years ago for my wife but it has hardly been used.

It is currently lowered for those with short legs! It can easily be raised again.

I have photos, pm me and I can email them.

£4000 all serious offers considered.

Hi Dan, shame you are having to say goodbye to the ol girl, the X1 that is.

Mirmanuk
Yes I was the previous owner and can safely say it was a very fine and well looked after example even before I purchased it. Don't think it had ever seen rain, remember when I purchased it the seller got a mirror and showed me how spotless the bike was even underneath.

I had many an enjoyable ride when I owned her, trouble free throughout and ridden by a granny, me, as many are aware I was the original captain slow and never pushed the bike, literally or motoring along the road.

This is a very fine example of an X1, who ever gets her is getting a cherished well sorted bike.

All the best Dan, someone will snap her up.

Regards to Blast.
Steve (Mirmanuk, still about)

do i detect a difference of opinion here ?

its hard to reconcile Maz's viewpoint with that of owners past and present.

Are they talking about the same bike?

I am guessing XB4RT bought the bike. The V5 was lost. But in the meantime it was taken to be Mazzed up. Maz identified it as a clunker, started to Maz it up but money has run out. luckily, the bike is now something like roadworthy but there is still a 'to do list'...

Correct.......except it hasn't even started to be 'Mazzed' yet.......Pete (new owner) just wanted it road worthy/safe so he could decide whether he even got on with an X1.
Bike wouldn't even run when I first got it :?

If memory serves, Pete paid £3,200 for the bike.......it currently stands him at nearly 5K  :x

Still needs both head gaskets sorting and the crankcase joint is marking its spot wherever I park it in my shop

If Maz says that then maz knows if anyone knows.
I can only speak from when I rode it, always had fresh oil, had been wrapped in cotton wool from previous owner, I never had a problem but then never ran it anywhere near to its full potential.
At Mirman pace it never leaked, rattled or missed a beat and covered miles effortlessly.
The V5 was despatched to Swansea when I sold it and I got comformation back saying it had been correctly transfered.
Sorry to hear that Maz has had to spend so much time on working his magic on it. No doubt it WILL BE one of the finest examples of what can only be the best sorted X1s in the UK very soon.

V5 all present and correct, I didn't sign it at Dans and he forgot about it but sent it to me last week after the prompt.
